What are the payment policies?

Rates are in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). The Hooton Retreat reserves the right to change the price without prior notice.

Room Rate and Cancellation.​

• All room rates charges stated inclusive breakfast. 

• Children aged 6 and above are considered as adults. Thus, an extra bed is required for each child of age 6 years old and above and  they will need booking for their own meals too.

• Only 1 child aged 5 and below is allowed without charge in any room type. They are required to share a bed with parents/guardians. Child aged 5 or below is allowed to eat for free based on the meals as booked by parents/guardians. 

• Extra bed is available upon request (RM80 per extra bed). Note: A maximum of only ONE extra bed for 1 additional occupant is allowed in each room.

• Additional breakfast chargeable at RM28 per person.

• All additional orders shall be made 3 working days before your check in date.

• Reservation would only be guaranteed on the basis of a full payment confirmed by The Hooton Retreat and bank in receipt verification.

• There shall be no refund for any booking cancellation or booking reduction request.

• A one (1) time booking date changes must be made at least 14 days before check-in date. 3 months grace period from the previous booking date will be given. *subject to room availability. 

• No-shows and early check-outs will be charged per the night room rate.

• The Hooton Retreat required a deposit for incidental charges upon check-in. Deposit may be placed in cash only.

What are the general policies?

The Hooton Retreat does not accept any liability for its failure to provide contractual service or any of them due to circumstances that are beyond our control.​

 

The Hooton Retreat does not in any position to guarantee the Guests' safety against events including and not limited to accidents, personal injuries, death or default caused by third parties, act of God, flood, theft, or acts of negligence. All activities have inherent risks to health and safety and The Hooton Retreat will not be responsible for any eventualities related to any facilities, activities or services booked and provided via this website.

 

The Hooton Retreat reserves the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage or soiling, caused by accidental, deliberate, negligence or reckless act of the guest to The Hooton Retreat's property or structure. 

 

The Hooton Retreat shall not be liable for the loss of money or other personal valuables during your stay. 

 

The following items are not permitted in The Hooton Retreat premises:

• Flammable, explosive or other hazardous materials.

• Objects emitting a foul odour.

• Unregistered firearms or other weapons.

• Objects of an unusually large size or in unusually large quantities.

• Articles related to use in gambling, prostitution, smuggling or other illicit acts. 

• Illegal drugs or other articles, the possession of which is prohibited by the laws of Malaysia.

The Hooton Retreat's management reserves the right to expel or refuse the entry of any guests who do not observe the Retreat's policy.

What are the health & Well-being policies?

To ensure all guests enjoy the comfort and safety of the facilities we offer, The Hooton Retreat upholds a strict zero tolerance policy towards commotion, excessive noise and parties. Any person found to be on our premises creating excessive noise, having a party, exceeding the numbers of permitted guests or otherwise causing a disturbance will be requested to leave The Hooton Retreat without refund.

Should any action by a guest, may it be towards our staff or otherwise, be deemed inappropriate by The Hooton Retreat, or if any inappropriate behaviour is brought to attention, The Hooton Retreat reserves the right, after allegations have been investigated, to take action against the guest which may result in, but not limited to, being asked to leave without a refund for any services incurred.
